Dear Parents

We are already busy with a number of activities for this Term.

SGB.

Thank you to all SGB members for your availability, time and inputs at our school. Our SGB is already hard at work developing and adapting policies for the smooth running of the school. Our SGB members with their portfolios:

Extra Mural Activities.

Netball:

We have already played matches and tournaments. Our teams are doing very well. Here are some results: PCS vs Northern Academy 16 April. All our teams won their games.

U/9 A won 11 – 0        U/9B won 6 -4                         U/10A won 14 – 3        U/10B won 19 – 1

U/11A won 16 -2         U/11B won 9 -1                       U/12A won 12 – 5        U12B won 6 – 4

U/13A won 15 – 9       U/13B won 13 – 2  

At the U/9 Tournament at Piet Hugo: our U/9 played and in total won 2 matches and lost 2 matches. Thank you to all parents for supporting your children.

Our chess team is also practicing regularly and participated in their first tournament against PEMPS

Here are the results:

PCS vs PEMPS – U/13 PCS won 8 – 4

Majorettes:

Our Development competition was held on Saturday 13 April at PCS and our girls performed excellently. Here are the results:

  • Junior Pom                 – 1st
  • Senior Pom                 – 1st
  • Mace group                 – 1st
  • Small drill leader         – 1st
  • Sub leaders                – 1st
  • Squad                         – 1st
  • Overall                        – 1st     

The following competitions and appearances scheduled for our Drummies:

  • Polokwane City Marathon      –  Polokwane – 27 April
  • Development Competition      – Mokopane  – 18 May

Junior Choir:

The Junior choir is practicing hard and will participate in a number of competitions during the year.

  • Alegretto Competition at Methodist Church               – Biccard Street           – 26 April.
  • SASCE Competition at Masedibu High School         – Seshego                   – 2 May.
  • ATKV Competition at Pietersburg High School          – PHS                         – 6 May.

Debating:

There will be a debating competition on Sat 18 May. The venue and topics will be confirmed at a later date.

Lost and Found Clothes.

There are again a lot of lost clothes that were picked up on the grounds. We will display it again at the entrance gate at the soccer field from 29 May. We can minimise this problem if the learners’ clothes are clearly marked and we can return it to them.

Clothes Shop.

Please note the Uniform Shop Hours:

Monday – Thursday    7:15 – 8:15 and 13:15 – 14:15

Friday                          7:15 – 8:15 and 12:45 – 13:45
