School Times.
Office: Mondays – Thursdays : 07:00 – 15:00
Fridays : 07:00 – 14:00
Clothes shop: Thursdays: 07:15 – 08:15 and again 13:15 – 14:15
Fridays : 07:15 – 08:15 and again 12:15 – 13:15
Classes: All classes Grade R – 7 START AT 07:20
Grade R: 07:20 – 12:30
Grade 1: 07:20 – 13:00
Grade 2 and 3: 07:20 – 13:20
Grade: 4, 5, 6 and 7: 07:20 – 13:30
We request that parents do not enter the school ground to collect learners, please collect them at the drop zone. Make sure your child has safe reliable transport to bring them to PCS on time and collect them after school. Note that there is NO AFTER CARE AT PCS and it is not safe just to leave your child here until late in the afternoon.
Finances.
School fees for 2024 are as follows:
- Gr.R R11 220.00 for the whole year. The amount can be paid in 11 instalments of R1 020.00 per month.
- Gr 1 – 7: R8 580.00 for the whole year. The amount can be paid in 11 instalments of R 780-00
- per month
- If the full amount is paid by 31 March 2024, a discount of R 780-00 will be credited. There is a swipe facility available at the Finance Office.
- The annual school fees are determined in terms of section 39 of the SASA. According to section 40 of the act the parents are liable to pay such fees unless they have been exempted from payment.
- In accordance with the provisions of section 38 and 39(1) of the SASA school fees will be determined and shall be payable at this school.
- All parents will be obliged to pay school fees unless exempted in accordance with the provisions of SASA and the applicable regulations.
Parents who allege that they are not able to pay school fees and claim full, partial or conditional exemption of payment of school fees must apply in writing to the chairperson of the School Governing Body on a form available at the school office. This must be done before 31 March 2024.
Notice.
We request parents to teach their children to pack all the necessary school books, projects, stationery, food and other related items. NO deliveries will be made from the office to the classroom for learners. This is necessary to avoid class disruptions.
If your child is in the foundation phase, Grade R, 1, 2 and 3 and it’s their birthday, you have the option to send cup cakes or party packs for the class. Please don’t send a big cake because cutting and dividing a cake into 40 pieces is a problem and it causes a lot of mess when the children eat it. We don’t allow any birthday items or parties for the seniors, (Grade 4 – 7) at the school. If it’s your child’s birthday, he/she can wear their civvies on that day.
Marking stationery and clothes.
We want the children’s clothes and stationary to be marked with their names and class. This will assist the staff to return lost items to the rightful owners.
Sport.
Congratulations to Keorapetse Maremane who have been selected for the U/13 Capricorn Hockey team for 2024.
Thank you to all the parents who supported PCS during the Athletics championships for the town schools. We also want to thank the children who did their best.
